Personal Statement
Although it was never my original intention to offer workshops, I was motivated by peers & colleagues who urged me to produce one. I began to see that sharing my methods & communicating my approach to photography with others helped to solidify them in my mind.
Teaching itself is very much a learning experience, & in this way we can mutually benefit. My hope is that these workshops will push you, re-kindle your creative passion, & enable you to take another step in your career.
As a currently working & continually evolving creative professional, I have only my opinion to offer participants. My views are formulated from the last seven years of development in the field & the personal life perspective supporting it.
I do not claim any unverified accolades, boast about awards or clients, or act under the pretense that I am ‘right’ in my assertions on any given subject during the workshop.
In fact, I fully recognize the subjective nature of the content & the diversity of our profession. Both as individuals & as photographers our motivations & perspectives vary so greatly that truth for one does not equal truth for all.
It is with this idea in mind that I seek to advise & aid participants down their own path to success.
There are many other workshops available out there for those seeking more conventional learning formats & common topics.
This workshop series is meant to be fluid, & organically adapt to the participants’ needs.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns prior to enrolling.
