What is the entry fee?


$500 / per workshop.
$400 with early registration – see Dates & Topics page for deadlines.
 
When are the workshops/How long is each session?

Check the ‘Dates & Topics‘ page for current info.
Each workshop is generally 8 hours.
Sessions will run from 10a-6p by default.
Exact start times may differ from session to session depending on the topics & activities.

Who should participate?

This workshop series is intended for intermediate-advanced photographers.
 
Minimum suggested requirements:
solid understanding of full manual camera control
basic natural & studio lighting knowledge
experience interacting with human subjects
fashion/editorial/advertising work-focus
basic Photoshop/retouching skills
keeps a current portfolio/website

When is the deadline to apply?

What is the deposit?

The entry fee is due in full at sign-up.

What if I need to cancel?

100% refund will be issued if cancelled prior to the final registration deadline.
 
No refunds will be issued after the registration deadline, however you will receive credit towards a future workshop or you are welcome to sell your seat to another photographer.

What equipment do I need to participate/What should I bring to the workshop?

You will need your camera+lenses, memory cards, & laptop.
 
It is recommended you bring any additional accessories needed for your personal workflow process, from capture to final output, including mouse/wacom tablets, card readers, light meters, etc.
 
Lighting equipment is optional, as some participants may want to improve on their specific gear or create additional setups.
Please check with me prior to bringing large amounts of grip/modifiers/lighting equipment.

What equipment will we be using/have access to during the workshop?

Profoto Monolights, Air System
California Sunbounce – Big/Pro/Strip/Sun-Mover
Full compliment of softboxs/modifiers
Full compliment of seamless & studio environmental materials

Where will the workshop be held?

Seattle workshops will be based at:
Studio 408 – The Bemis Building
55 S Atlantic St, Seattle 98134

Will we be working with models/stylists?

Yes, professional models will be on hand specifically chosen for the session topic & activities. Models will be used to demonstrate techniques & to work directly with participants.
 
You will also be working directly with makeup artists, hairstylists, & wardrobe stylists.

Will meals be provided?

Yes, lunch will be available catered by Specialties (or other equivalent), including sandwiches, soups, baked goods, snacks, fruit, drinks, coffee & tea, etc.

Can you recommend hotels if I am attending from outside Seattle?
